Westport Village, Herr Lane and Westport Road, is throwing a grand-opening
celebration Friday and next Saturday.

It kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday followed by events
throughout the weekend, including entertainment and glass-blowing
demonstrations by the new Glassworks Juicy Lucy mobile unit.

A handful of new shops are opening in time for the festivities, including MODA
Men's Apparel. The boutique, owned by Mike Robbins and Freddy Western,
features upscale men's casual wear.

Shoppers will find denim by Stitch's, Monarchy, Mek and the Kentucky Denim Co.
-- a line out of Los Angeles -- plus T-shirts, button-downs, hats, belts and more.
They'll also be greeted by a Steepleton pool table, comfy leather couches and a
high-definition projector, and Glassworks will be selling its glass art at the store.
